This will be my first ever blog, and with this, I think sharing my own thoughts and knowledge about dancing and it's importance would be a great start since it's also a field of mine aside from being a media practitioner. So here it goes...
A passion for dancing is a lifelong commitment. The adventure is in the learning. – new moves, new dances, new rhythms, the old become the history, kept by the archivists and brought out occasionally for reminiscence. For the dancer craves the freshness of the new dance. Once the dance is mastered, the quest to learn something new, go to move to the next level of experience. There is always a new dance to learn, always new styling to try. The dancer does not want to do the same old thing every time. This would only lead to lack of interest, and wasting away the essence of dancing.
The dance floor claims an etiquette in which everyone has a place. Dancing is an art form that is open to all. You don’t need any supplies or equipment, only the desire to MOVE.
Your MOVEMENT and the way you carry yourself in dancing is called SWAG. Swag is made up of your overall confidence, style, demeanor and connection to the people. Swag can also be expanded to be the reputation of your overall swagger. You gain swag, or "Swag up", by performing swag worthy actions that improve this perception. A person can also "swag down," by being an overall pussy and garnering negative swag for their actions. Swag is a subtle thing that many strive to gain but few actually attain. It is reserved for the most "swagalicious" of people. Swag can also be quantified, with point systems existing in some circles of friends.
